Case IH Combine Mount
AWS combine mount systems are available for all CIH 1600, 2100 and 2300 series machines. The quiet, ready to install AWS fan is mounted on the right hand side of the combine and driven off the combines secondary drive gearbox. Simple AWS twin belt drive chassis with torsion spring belt tightners provides long-term reliability and ease of maintenance.
In 1998 AWS set a new industry standard with the first ever combine-mounted fan on a John Deere 9600. In 2000 we carried that same concept over to the CaseIH line of combines as well. Driving directly from the combine's secondary drive gearbox ensured the most efficient use of power. A drive pulley was designed that would mount to the existing secondary pulley and drive the AWS fan using a single 5-groove banded belt. On CaseIH 2100 and 2300 machines, the decking on the right hand side of the combine easily accommodates the AWS fan assembly.
The unique mounting location leaves an unrestricted view from the operator's seat. The quiet, efficient AWS fan features a durable baked on finish and is protected by a stationary or optional rotary inlet screen. A rugged shield protects the inlet screen from debris thrown by the drive tires.
Air is delivered to the out front AWS manifold through a pre-charged tube that routes across the feeder house. It features a quick-header disconnect and choice of electric or manual fan baffle control. Holes in the pre-charged tube jet air forward across the feeder house preventing material build-up for an unobstructed view of the cutter bar.
Our CaseIH combine mount fans are complemented with a header-completing package. The completing package contains components specifically designed to work with CaseIH heads ensuring the effectiveness of not only the AWS, but the head as well. All AWS header components are powder painted and bolt on, installing with little or no modification to the head.
The simple, light-weight removable out front AWS manifold is supported at each end of the header with AWS mounting brackets that bolt on to the reels existing mounting arms. This truly unique concept allows the manifold to be adjusted independent of the reel for a variety of crops. Once the manifold is set in position, relative to the reel position it then moves as one complete unit with the reel. This gives the operator greater flexibility as to the location of the air. Direction of airflow can be controlled from the cab with an electric actuator mounted at the end of the manifold.
