Q: On your combine mounts why do you route the air to the left hand side of the head? Would it not be easier to take it to the right?
A: By routing down the left hand side of the head the AWS system does not interfere with the hydraulic reel dirve on the right. Our combine mounts also feature a pre-charge tube that routes across the feeder house. In that tube there are holes that jet air across the feeder house preventing material build up for an un-obstructed view of the cutter bar.
Q: With the fan mounted up beside the cab, is it not noisier in the cab?
A: No. The unique design of the AWS fan and chassis allows it to run very quiet. You can not hear the fan running outside of normal combine noise.
Q: If I trade heads how practical is it to remove the AWS system and install it on my new head?
A: All AWS components are bolt on and easily transferrable from one head to another.
Q: What can I expect from the addition of an wind/air reel?
A: Yield advantages in dry beans can be 3-5 bushel/acre. In soybeans 1-3 bushel/acre can be achieved. Overall feeding is greatly improved, no slugging, faster ground speed and better separation are only a few of the benefits of an AWS system.
Q: Why in some areas do you not have dealers for your system?
A: Simply put, it takes a great deal of time to grow a responsible dealer network. As a company we are continuing our push to grow our dealer network. If you are interested in our system tell your dealer. We find dealers today are exposed to a large number of products and tend not to take something on until they have customers who are interested in it.
Q: Will my visibility be affected at all?
A: No. With the AWS system keeping the knife and table clean, visibility at the cutterbar is actually increased, stones and other foreign materail can easily be avoided.
Q: With the AWS system installed on the head how much wider will my head be?
A: The design of the AWS system allows it to be installed within the headers original dimensions therefore not affecting overall header width.
